Brrr! It’s getting chilly in Pune as the mercury dropped on Friday, bringing back the cold weather after a brief hiatus. Temperatures in some parts of Maharashtra plummeted by up to 10 degrees Celsius, with Pune recording a minimum temperature of 11.7 degrees Celsius.

The IMD has warned of a further dip in temperature in the coming days, with the lowest minimum temperature reported in Gondia at 8.8 degrees Celsius. Residents in Vidarbha, Marathwada, and western Maharashtra are feeling the chill as temperatures continue to fluctuate in North India.

Meanwhile, in South India, maximum temperatures are expected to remain stable while minimum temperatures could drop in the North. Foggy conditions greeted some parts of Maharashtra in the morning, with the IMD predicting a decrease in mercury by 3-4 degrees Celsius across the state.
