Hey Pune folks, get ready for some relief from the scorching heat! IMD officials are predicting a 2-3°C drop in daytime temperatures in the city due to increased cloud cover. So, say goodbye to those 40°C days and hello to slightly cooler weather.

According to the latest forecasts, areas like Shivajinagar and Lohegaon will see temperatures hovering between 36°C and 38°C until March 21. While Lohegaon recently hit a scorching 39.5°C, the cloud cover is expected to bring some much-needed relief.

Even though rain might not be in the cards for Pune, IMD is predicting light showers and thunderstorms in parts of Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, and Vidarbha. So, keep those umbrellas handy just in case.

While some parts of Pune, like Koregaon Park, are still sizzling at 39.7°C, there’s hope for cooler days ahead. And it’s not just Pune feeling the heat – Beed in Marathwada and Chandrapur in Vidarbha are also experiencing temperatures over 40°C.

So, while the cooler weather is a welcome change, farmers might be facing challenges with the ongoing cloud cover. But for now, let’s enjoy the slight respite and keep an eye out for any changes in the weather ahead. Stay cool, Pune!
