The latest data from Maha Metro has revealed that PCMC, Vanaz, Nal Stop, and Ramwadi are the busiest metro stations in Pune, with PCMC leading the pack with over 14,000 daily passengers. However, commuters are facing challenges due to inadequate parking facilities and poor last-mile connectivity.

Commuters like Suresh Sai and Sanjay Marathe have raised concerns about the lack of parking at PCMC station and the overcharging for auto rickshaws at Vanaz station. They believe that these issues are hindering the overall commuting experience for daily passengers.

Despite these challenges, the Metro ridership has been steadily increasing, with over one lakh passengers using the service in July alone. The extension of the Metro line to Ramwadi has contributed to this growth, but commuters like Sanjay Shitole emphasize the importance of improving access to stations to retain riders.

Maha Metro officials are aware of these concerns and are actively working on solutions to enhance last-mile and feeder services. Currently, there are 13 feeder routes in operation, with plans to introduce more in the future. Additionally, efforts are being made to address the deficient auto services at Metro stations, with the introduction of share-an-auto services on the horizon.

Overall, while the Metro system in Pune continues to grow and attract more passengers, it is essential for authorities to address the infrastructure and connectivity issues to provide a seamless commuting experience for all.
