Pune, Maharashtra: The spirit of Indian Constitution Day was alive and well at Bharati Vidyapeeth New Law College in Pune as students gathered to celebrate the occasion with a series of engaging events. The day kicked off with a Pledge Ceremony, where participants reaffirmed their commitment to upholding the values enshrined in the Constitution.
One of the highlights of the day was the Inter-College Quiz Competition, where students tested their knowledge of the Indian Constitution. Riya Mathur and Debarun Mukherjee emerged as the winners, showcasing their impressive grasp of constitutional principles.
In the Intra-College Public Speaking Competition on ‘Anti-Defection Law and Constitutional Morality’, Bhumika Jain took home the top prize, with Roohi and Abhyuday Singh following closely behind as the first and second runners-up, respectively. The competition sparked lively debates and discussions on important legal issues facing the country.
The day also featured an Online Legal Talk Show by Dr. Manojkumar Sharma from Patiala, who delved into ‘The Changing Aspects of Federalism in India’. His insightful discussion shed light on the evolving nature of federalism in the country and its implications for the legal system.
Overall, the celebrations at Bharati Vidyapeeth New Law College aimed to deepen students’ understanding of constitutional values and spark meaningful conversations on contemporary legal issues.
