1. A contract dispute involving the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has taken a dramatic turn with legal cases being filed against various parties.
  2. The conflict reportedly started at a bar in Panvel, Navi Mumbai, where an altercation occurred between a contractor, BJP workers, and a PMC junior engineer.
  3. BJP activist Nirmal Harihar has accused the contractor of threatening him with a revolver in connection to the contract dispute with the PMC’s Drainage Department.
  4. Ganesh Gite, the junior engineer, alleged that he was assaulted by BJP workers when he went to request a gold chain weighing 1.5 tolas in Ganj Peth.
  5. The controversy stems from an earlier incident at Bindass Live Orchestra in Panvel, Navi Mumbai, where Gite and his friend were allegedly involved in an altercation with Nirmal Harihar and his friends.
  6. Gite later filed a complaint via email at the Panvel Taluka Police Station, claiming that Harihar had snatched a gold chain worth Rs 90,000 from him.
  7. The police have stated that both parties have submitted conflicting complaints and a case has been registered against Nirmal Harihar at the New Panvel Police Station.
