So, here’s the scoop: a recent raid led by Beed City Police uncovered a major counterfeit currency operation involving suspects Sunny Athawale, Mahesh Athawale, and Manish Kshirsagar. The police found dangerous weapons like knives and even a pressure cooker during the search of their homes. And get this – the operation isn’t just limited to Maharashtra, there could be connections to other states as well.

But the plot thickens – two suspects, Pravin Gaikwad and Akash Jadhav, were arrested in Pune for distributing the fake notes. Gaikwad, who works as an admission agent for private colleges, had a sneaky plan to mix the counterfeit currency with legitimate fees paid by college students. He was supposed to get a hefty ₹2 lakh cut for every batch of fake notes worth ₹4 lakh, supplied by the alleged mastermind, Manish Kshirsagar.

Kshirsagar, with a shady past and a knack for distributing fake currency, was reportedly the brains behind the whole operation. Police believe he’s been circulating fake money at local businesses in Beed for some time now. In fact, during Gaikwad’s arrest, ₹8,500 worth of counterfeit notes in denominations of ₹500, ₹200, and ₹100 were seized.

Inspector Ballal spilled the beans that the investigation is still ongoing, with authorities hot on the trail of other individuals involved in the operation. This case has unraveled a larger network of counterfeit currency distribution, potentially affecting multiple regions.

Looks like the counterfeit currency game just got real – stay tuned for more updates on this developing story!
