Hey Pune folks, get ready for some political action as the counting of votes for all four Lok Sabha constituencies in the district is set to take place on 4th June. District Collector and District Election Officer Dr Suhas Diwase has assured that the election system is fully prepared for this task.

Dr Diwase, along with other officials, addressed the media at the collector’s office to share the details. The counting for Baramati and Pune constituencies will happen at the godown of the Food Corporation of India in Koregaon Park, while Shirur will have its counting at the Maharashtra State Warehousing Corporation in Ranjangaon and Maval at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Balewadi.

On the big day, the strong rooms containing EVM machines and postal ballot boxes will be opened in the presence of election inspectors and returning officers. The counting will kick off at 8 am with postal voting and counting of ETPBS votes, followed by EVM counting at 8:30 am. CCTV cameras and video recording will keep a close eye on all activities in the counting room.

Round-wise statistics will be announced periodically through loudspeakers, and mobile phones will be strictly prohibited in the counting center. Only authorized individuals with valid identity cards will be allowed entry.

Separate counting tables will be set up for each assembly constituency within each Lok Sabha constituency. Maval will have 116 tables, Pune 112, Baramati 124, and Shirur 112 tables for the counting process.
