The news of a secret tip-off leading to a significant currency seizure has shocked many. Pune Customs acted swiftly on intelligence suggesting that foreign currency was being smuggled inside notebooks carried by students. The students were intercepted upon their arrival from Dubai, and a whopping amount of USD 400,100 was found hidden between the pages of their notebooks.

Further investigations revealed that the students were part of a larger scheme orchestrated by a travel agent named Khushbu Agarwal. The students confessed that Agarwal had provided them with the bags containing the concealed cash before their journey. The plot thickened when a search team raided a Forex firm in Mumbai and arrested Mr. Mohd Aamir, who was involved in supplying foreign currency.

The involvement of the travel agent and others connected to this suspected hawala network is currently under investigation by the Pune Customs team. The two accused individuals, Khushbu Agarwal and Mr. Aamir, have been remanded to judicial custody as the authorities work to unravel the full extent of this illicit operation.
