In the swanky Puneville housing society, a security guard was viciously attacked by a group of men, who are said to be delivery boys. What led to this brutal assault, you ask? Well, it all started when the guard refused entry to one of the men into the lift. This didn’t sit well with the man, who then decided to round up his buddies and unleash a violent attack on the guard, knocking him unconscious.
The whole incident was caught on camera by the society’s CCTV, and now the footage is making the rounds on social media. Talk about a scary situation, right?
Apparently, the trouble began when a delivery guy, believed to be from Zepto, tried to use the lift in one of the wings of Puneville. When the guard stopped him, things quickly escalated into a heated argument. And before anyone knew it, the Zepto delivery boy returned with a posse of pals, all of whom are said to be delivery boys themselves. The gang of around 5-6 individuals then proceeded to pummel the security guard, leaving him out cold for a bit. The whole ordeal caused quite a commotion in the housing society, especially with Ganeshotsav festivities in full swing.
Ravet Police Station is handling the case, and Senior Police Inspector Nitin Phatangare has assured Punekar News that they are on top of things.
