In a disturbing incident that has shaken the residents of Wanwadi, Pune, two young girls were sexually assaulted by their school bus driver. The 45-year-old driver, who has been dropping off students from a prestigious school, has been accused of sexually assaulting a six-year-old girl and her friend over the past four days.
The girls, who used to sit in the front seat of the bus, were reportedly subjected to sexual acts by the driver while in transit. The accused allegedly made the girls sit close to him and threatened them to keep quiet about the abuse.
The horrific incident came to light when one of the girls complained of pain in her private area after returning home. Upon questioning, the young victim revealed the traumatic experience to her mother, who then reported the incident to the authorities.
A case has been registered against the bus driver at the Wanwadi police station, and an investigation is underway. The community is shocked and outraged by the betrayal of trust by someone in a position of authority and responsibility.
