Hey there, Pune peeps! Did you know that the DoRBit Foundation and Zilla Parishad schools teamed up to celebrate International Yoga Day in style? Yep, that’s right! On June 21st, volunteers from DoRBit NGO spread the yoga love to around 1000 underprivileged students in three schools.
These guys are all about making a difference in the lives of kids who need it most. So, they brought in some top-notch yoga trainers like Anurag Gore, Viraj Medhe, Dilpreet Kaur, and Alka Suman to lead the sessions. From mantras to Surya Namaskar to various asanas, these students got the full yoga experience.
At one school, founder Vipin Shrivastava even joined in to show his support and encourage the young yogis. The headmistress, Mrs. Pournima, was super grateful and urged the kids to keep up with their yoga practice.
Over at New English High School, volunteers Dilpreet Kaur, Raabia Kaur, and their crew got the older students from classes 6 to 10 all pumped up about yoga. Principal Shri Ambadas Rode gave them a big shoutout for their hard work.
And last but not least, at Zilla Parishad School in Chande Gaon, Mulshi taluka, Alka Suman led some special yoga sessions for the little ones in classes 1 to 4. School Headmistress Kumbhar was all about the DoRBit team’s dedication to keeping these kiddos healthy and happy.
So, there you have it, folks! Yoga isn’t just for adults – it’s for everyone, and these awesome volunteers are making sure that even the most underserved kids get to experience the magic of yoga. Keep on stretching, Pune!
