The tragic incident that unfolded in Wagholi yesterday has left the local community in shock. A woman lost her life in a collision with a dumper on the Pune-Ahmednagar Highway, while her husband sustained injuries. The driver of the dumper, identified as Anil Ashok Mudalkar, tried to flee the scene but was apprehended by Lonikand Police within 24 hours.
The victim, Siri Chandana Chinta, was riding her two-wheeler when the collision occurred in front of Chitali Sweet Home. Her husband, Vishwanath Hebbatam, filed a complaint with the police, leading to the arrest of the driver. The dumper is owned by Vikas Popat Kolekar, a resident of Hadapsar.
