Hey Pune peeps, here’s the latest scoop on the vegetable prices at Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Market Yard! Looks like the prices of tomatoes, cauliflower, cabbage, shevga, and pavta have taken a dip thanks to a surplus of arrivals. But don’t worry, most other fruits and veggies are holding steady.

Over the weekend, a whopping 90 to 100 trucks rolled into the market from Maharashtra and beyond, loaded with goodies like green chillies, cabbage, beans, drumsticks, carrots, peas, mangoes, and garlic. And let’s not forget about the local produce – we’re talking tomatoes, guava, okra, cucumber, cauliflower, and onions galore!

While most veggies are keeping their prices in check, coriander, dill, and gram bags are experiencing a slight uptick. On the flip side, root veggies and spinach are seeing a price drop. Leafy greens like coriander, fenugreek, spinach, roots, mint, safflower, and amaranth are going for decent rates per hundred pairs.

Now, onto the fruit market update! Papaya, pomegranate, and lemon prices are on the rise, while watermelon, muskmelon, custard apple, orange, sweet lime, guava, and boras are staying put. The market recently welcomed tons of mosambi, oranges, pomegranates, papayas, lemons, and pineapples – talk about a fruity extravaganza!

Traders are noting that the abundance of arrivals is helping to keep prices stable or even lower, which is good news for both sellers and shoppers. Looks like it’s time to stock up on those veggies and fruits, Pune!
