Hey Pune, get ready for some major disruptions in train services next month! Electronic interlocking work is set to take place at Daund Railway Station in the Pune division, leading to a seven-day power block. This means trains traveling to and from Mumbai in South India, including the popular Pune-Solapur intercity, will be canceled.

The date for this work has not been finalized yet, but senior railway officials are hinting at the first or second week of July. Approximately 20 trains will be canceled daily, with routes for another 20 trains being diverted. This will have a big impact on the Solapur-Pune-Mumbai route, with afternoon intercity services between Pune and Solapur being among those affected.

Not only will the yard at Daund station be affected, but operations on the Daund chord line will also be disrupted, with services suspended for a day. All 28 trains operating between Pune and Manmad will also be canceled for a day, causing inconvenience for passengers.

So, if you’re planning to travel on the Pune-Mumbai route next month, make sure to stay updated on the latest developments and plan your journey accordingly!
