Tata AutoComp Systems, a leading automotive components conglomerate in India, has launched an artificial limb fitment camp in Pune as part of its CSR initiative. This camp is set to benefit over 400 differently abled individuals from Pune and neighboring towns.
The week-long camp, organized by Tata AutoComp Systems Ltd and Inner wheel club of Khadki, aims to empower and transform the lives of individuals with mobility challenges. The camp, in association with BMVSS (Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti) Indore Centre, will provide free-of-charge fitting and distribution of artificial limbs, calipers, crutches, and other assistive devices.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by key figures such as Mr. Arvind Goel, Chairman of Tata AutoComp Systems Ltd, Mr. Arihant Mehta, President of pinnacle industries, Ms. Ritika Mehta, Director of Pinnacle industries, and Dr. Suniti Goel, President of Inner wheel Club of Khadki, District 313.
Mr. Arvind Goel emphasized the importance of giving back to society through initiatives like the artificial limb fitment program. The goal is to empower individuals to live with dignity and independence, enhancing their quality of life.
Dr. Suniti Goel highlighted that the initiative aims to serve economically weaker sections of society, providing life-changing assistance at no cost. The camp is also supported by the Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Sarvajanik Ganapati Trust and Suvarnayug Tarun Mandal, two esteemed Pune-based organizations.
Expert technicians and volunteers at the camp will ensure the prosthetics are fitted with precision and care, providing post-fitment and personalized care. The high-quality artificial limbs will help restore mobility and improve the quality of life of the beneficiaries.
