Hey guys, have you heard the latest news from Maharashtra? The national highway 60 in Pune district is getting a major upgrade! The stretch from Bhimashankar to Talghar to Vadgaon to Rajgurunagar, as well as Junnar to Ghodegaon to Talghar, is set to undergo a massive transformation.
Thanks to a whopping budget of 2349.32 crore rupees approved by Nitin Gadkari, these roads will be widened from 2 lanes to 4 lanes, with intermediate shoulders for added safety. This project will not only improve connectivity but also enhance the overall travel experience for locals and tourists alike.
The upgraded roads will make it easier to visit iconic landmarks such as the Bhimashankar Temple, known as one of the 12 Jyotirlingas, and the historic Shivneri Fort, the birthplace of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Tourists will also have better access to attractions like the Ozar Ganesh Temple, Bhimashankar Wildlife Sanctuary, Dimbhe Dam, and Chas Kaman Dam.
With improved infrastructure, the initiative is expected to boost regional development, ensure road safety, and cater to the growing number of tourists flocking to these culturally rich and historically significant sites. So get ready to hit the road and explore the beauty of Maharashtra like never before!
