EPAM Systems, a leading digital transformation and product engineering company, is strengthening its presence in India with the launch of a new office in Pune. This marks the third office opening for EPAM in India this year, following locations in Bengaluru and Chennai. India is a key strategic hub for EPAM, serving as the company’s second-largest delivery center globally.
EPAM’s journey in India began in 2015 when it acquired Alliance Global Services, setting the stage for its operations in the country. Srinivas Reddy, Managing Director of EPAM India, highlighted Pune’s role in the company’s growth, noting that the new facility in Baner spans 30,000 square feet and is designed for collaboration with over 200 seats and a large lab.
Pune’s rapid growth as an EPAM hub can be attributed to factors such as access to talent from top educational institutions, expertise in the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector, and the expansion of the company’s client portfolio in the region.
EPAM’s financial performance remains strong, with revenues of $1.168 billion reported in Q3 2024 and full-year revenues projected to be between $4.685 billion and $4.695 billion. The company’s global headcount has reached approximately 53,250, with plans to grow the India workforce to around 10,000 by Q1 2025.
The Pune expansion is significant for EPAM, positioning the city as a strategic hub for delivering services to global clients, particularly in the BFSI sector. The new facility offers state-of-the-art labs and workspaces for collaboration and innovation, while proximity to educational institutions ensures a pipeline of skilled professionals for EPAM’s growth.
As EPAM continues to expand its delivery capabilities in Pune, the city is poised to play a key role in the company’s global operations. By leveraging India’s talent pool and fostering innovation, EPAM is well-positioned to capitalize on opportunities in the technology landscape and drive sustainable success in the market.
