Hey there, folks! Today in Ghorpadi, Pune, there was quite a commotion as a major blast rocked a scrap shop on BT Kawade Road. Unfortunately, one person lost their life in the explosion, while three others were injured, one of them suffering facial injuries.

The blast was caused by some mysterious item containing gas that went off while the employees at the scrap shop were getting things ready for melting. Fire Officer Pramod Sonawane was on the scene and reported that the explosion was reported around 5:30 PM to the PMC’s Fire Brigade Control Room.

When the fire officials arrived, they found no fire but four injured individuals and debris scattered all over the place. Three of the injured were in serious but stable condition, while the individual who was cutting the tank that exploded in his face was in critical condition and unfortunately did not make it. The others were taken to Sassoon General Hospital and a local clinic for treatment.

The person cutting the tank was identified as Mohammad Shaikh, and he was in a really bad shape at the scene. The other injured individuals were named Kishore Salve, Dilip Misal, and Mohammad Banimiya Syed. While the exact gas in the tank and how it exploded are still unknown, an investigation is underway to get to the bottom of this tragic incident.
