Hey folks, here’s the latest update from the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. This morning, a tragic accident occurred in a tunnel near Khopoli involving a trailer container, a gas tanker, and a car transport container. Unfortunately, the driver of the gas tanker lost his life in the incident.
The deceased has been identified as Akshay Vyankatrao Dhele, a 30-year-old resident of Latur. The driver of the car transport container is said to have fled the scene. The Khopoli Police Station is currently in the process of registering the case.
Following the accident, the deceased’s body was taken to Khopoli Municipal Council Hospital. Rescue operations were carried out with the help of IRB Patrolling, Devdoot System, Delta Force, and Maharashtra Security Force. Highway Police, Borghat Police Station, and Khopoli Police Station officials also responded quickly to manage traffic at the site.
