The tragic incident took place in Kalyani Nagar on May 19, when the underage driver crashed into two IT professionals while intoxicated. After some legal back and forth, the boy was finally released on bail, only to be taken back into custody when the police stepped in due to public outcry.
Subsequently, his father was arrested for letting his son drink and drive without a license, while his grandfather is accused of pressuring their family driver to take the blame for the accident. It’s also alleged that they tampered with blood samples at Sassoon Hospital with the help of some doctors.
