Hey there Punekars! Looks like there’s some spicy drama unfolding in our city once again. Dilip Khedkar, father of former IAS Officer Puja Khedkar, has landed himself in hot water yet again. This time, he reportedly got into a heated argument with officials at the Pune District Collector’s Office in an attempt to secure a separate cabin for his daughter while she was still in training.

According to reports, a case has been registered against Dilip Khedkar under various sections of the Indian Penal Code including resistance to the taking of property by a public servant, intentional insult, and criminal intimidation. Deputy Commissioner of Police Smartana Patil spilled the beans about the incident, which took place back on 6th June 2024. It seems that Dilip Khedkar was adamant about his daughter getting special treatment, even going as far as demanding a separate cabin and installing a red beacon on her car with the words “Maharashtra Government” plastered on it.

Tehsildar Deepak Akade wasn’t having any of it and promptly filed a complaint at the Bund Garden Police Station for obstructing government work. An inquiry was launched based on the complaint, but it seems that Akade was too busy to show up at the police station to record his statement. Talk about drama!

It’s worth noting that trainee officers usually don’t get their own offices or special treatment, but it seems like Dilip Khedkar was determined to bend the rules for his daughter. Let’s see how this spicy saga unfolds in the coming days. Stay tuned for more updates, Punekars!
