Hey Pune, brace yourselves for some not-so-great news about your favorite veggies! The prices of Garlic, Okra, guar, Cabbage, Cauliflower, and Ghevda have shot up by 10 to 20 percent due to a decrease in arrivals. Looks like we might have to tighten our grocery budgets a bit.

But hold on, it’s not all doom and gloom. Traders at the Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Market Yard reported that the prices of other fruits and vegetables are holding steady. Phew, at least we won’t have to break the bank for our daily dose of Vitamin C.

On Sunday, a whopping 90 truckloads of fruits and vegetables made their way to the market from both within and outside the state. Talk about a busy day at the market! From Green Chillies to Cabbages to Tomatoes, it seems like there’s no shortage of fresh produce making its way to our plates.

But here’s the kicker – due to the rainy weather, leafy vegetables seem to be taking a hit. The arrival of leafy greens is decreasing, causing prices to soar. So if you’re a fan of Coriander, Fenugreek, or Dill Leaves, be prepared to shell out a bit more cash for your favorite greens.

On the brighter side, prices of Spring Onion, Indian Radish, and Spinach remain stable. Phew, at least we can still enjoy our salads without breaking the bank.

In the fruit market, prices of Pineapple, Lemon, Pomegranate, Orange, and more are holding steady. Looks like our fruit salads are safe from price hikes for now.

So, Pune folks, keep an eye on those veggie prices and maybe consider stocking up on your favorites before they become even pricier. And remember, a healthy diet is important, but it shouldn’t have to cost an arm and a leg!
