Hey Pune peeps, exciting news coming your way! The double-decker flyover at SPPU Chowk is well on its way to completion, with the first phase set to open in early April. Here are some key points to keep you in the loop:

1. The ramp from Aundh to Ganeshkhind Road will be ready for traffic in early April.
2. The section towards Baner and Pashan is expected to open by June 15.
3. The metro construction work is progressing alongside the flyover project.
4. The main goal of the project is to ease traffic congestion in the University Chowk area.

MLA Siddharth Shirole from BJP has been spearheading this project and recently inspected the site with officials. Despite some challenges like land acquisition and road widening, the project is moving forward smoothly. Shirole commended the police for their effective traffic management, which has helped keep congestion at bay.

The Ganeshkhind Road side of the flyover is already complete, and the ramps on the Aundh and Baner sides are almost done. Land acquisition for the Baner Road ramp has been finalized, and construction is set to begin soon. The Pashan side ramp is facing some challenges, but Shirole is confident they will be resolved soon.

The completion of this flyover will not only reduce traffic congestion but also improve connectivity between Aundh, Baner, Pashan, and Ganeshkhind Roads. So, hang in there, Puneites, relief is on the way!

During the inspection, officials from PMRDA, Tata Company, and the Traffic Branch were present, ensuring everything is on track for the project’s successful completion.
