Over the weekend, the fish market in Ganesh Peth received a good amount of deep-sea fish, bay fish, and river fish. Traders mentioned that 10 to 15 tonnes of deep-sea fish, 200 to 300 kg of bay fish, and 500 to 700 kg of river fish made their way into the market. Additionally, 15 to 20 tonnes of Rahu, Katla, and Silan were brought in from Andhra Pradesh.
Let’s break down some fish prices for you:
– Pomfret: ranging from 900 to 1,800 per kg
– Surmai: between 480 to 1,000 per kg
– Prawns: starting from 200 and going up to 1,500 per kg
– Lobster: priced at 2,000 to 2,200 per kg
Moving on to meat and poultry prices:
– Mutton: Goat, Bolai, Keema, and Liver all priced at 760 per kg
– Chicken: Whole, Piece, Live, and Boneless priced between 120 to 280 per kg
And finally, egg prices:
– Gavran Eggs: costing ₹1,020 per hundred or ₹11 per egg
– Regular Eggs: priced at ₹510 per hundred or ₹7 per egg
