1. Five accused individuals in Ambegaon, Pune were publicly paraded by the police after attacking a man with a Koyta over a minor road rage incident.
  2. The accused, who arrived on motorcycles, assaulted the victim leaving him seriously injured, prompting a case to be registered against them at Ambegaon Police Station.
  3. The public parade was conducted in the same locality as the crime to send a strong message against criminal activities, particularly among the youth.
  4. The accused have been identified as Ganesh Jadhav, Vishal Bandu Raut, Sameer Dnyaneshwar Marne, and Rishikesh Loke, based on a complaint filed by a 19-year-old victim.
  5. The incident occurred near the Swaminarayan Temple around 9:45 pm after the victim and his friend attended a birthday celebration and were walking. The accused accused them of cutting off their vehicle and attacked them with a Koyta, wooden sticks, punches, and kicks.
  6. The accused were paraded across various key locations in Ambegaon, including Katraj, Santosh Nagar, Sachchai Mata Chowk, Bhagwa Chowk, Hanuman Nagar, Shani Nagar, Jambhulwadi Road, and Panyachi Tanki Chowk under the leadership of Senior Inspector Sharad Zine.
  7. Authorities have warned that such public parades will continue as a deterrent to rising crime in the area.
