Former Corporator Amol Balwadkar has made headlines in Pune by announcing his decision to contest against State Minister Chandrakant Patil in the upcoming State Assembly elections. Balwadkar, who organized a massive gathering of over 40,000 citizens in Kothrud, expressed his disappointment with the party leadership’s decision-making process.

In a bold move, Balwadkar challenged the party’s leadership, stating that he had worked tirelessly for the party for the past 10 years and deserved a chance to contest the elections. He criticized the party for not acknowledging the aspirations of dedicated workers like himself and threatened to contest as an independent candidate if not given the party ticket.

During the Jan Ashirwad Melava and Diwali Saranjam event, Balwadkar was seen honoring common citizens from various walks of life, including domestic aides, workers, and vada-pav vendors, by appointing them as honorary Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Ministers. The emotional response from the honored citizens resonated with the audience, and Balwadkar’s show of strength has been the talk of the town.

Despite facing opposition from party leaders and threats of expulsion, Balwadkar remains unfazed, stating that as long as the people are with him, he has nothing to fear. With the support of the citizens of Kothrud, Balwadkar is determined to stand up against the status quo and bring about change in the upcoming elections.
