Hey there! Today we’ve got a juicy piece of news for you straight from the government offices. Puja Khedkar, a former trainee IAS officer, has been kicked out of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) due to some shady business during the Civil Services Exam (CSE) 2022.

So what did Puja do? Well, it turns out she was accused of pulling a fast one by providing false info to get ahead in the exam. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) did some digging and found out that she fibbed about her age, identity, and even faked a disability certificate to snag some benefits under the reservation system.

As a result, Puja’s dreams of being an IAS officer came crashing down when her selection was axed in July 2024. The UPSC even went a step further and filed a complaint with the Delhi Police, leading to some legal drama.

Puja didn’t take this lying down though. She argued in court that the UPSC had no right to boot her out, claiming that all her docs were verified during the personality test back in 2022. But the plot thickened when the cops hinted that one of her disability certificates might be a fake.

To prove her innocence, Puja offered to undergo a medical exam at AIIMS to back up her disability claim. She said, “First they accused me of changing my name, and now they are questioning my disability. I am ready to go to AIIMS to prove my condition.”

The court gave the police some extra time to investigate, and the next hearing is set for September 26. In the meantime, Puja gets to stay out of jail, at least until the next court date.

But wait, there’s more! Turns out Puja might have also tried her luck in the exam multiple times under different identities and categories. She even reportedly hogged a senior officer’s office in Pune and asked for a fancy Audi car with all the trimmings.

This whole mess has forced the UPSC to tighten up its procedures to prevent future fraudsters from slipping through the cracks. Over 15,000 candidates were looked into, but Puja’s case stood out for the sheer audacity of her alleged schemes.

Puja’s got a few points in her defense, though. She says only the Department of Personnel and Training should be able to slap her with disciplinary action, and that her name and identity have been consistent all along. She also insists that her disability is legit and should be taken into account for her exam attempts.

So, what will happen next in this scandalous saga? Stay tuned for more updates as this drama unfolds!
