- Big political news coming out of Pune today as Vasant More is all set to join Shiv Sena (UBT). More met with party Chief Uddhav Thackeray at his Matoshree bungalow and announced his official joining date as July 9th.
- More expressed his intentions to contest the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly elections from either the Hadapsar or Khadakwasla constituencies in Pune. He stated that even though Pune was not his area, he received a lot of votes in the past.
- Vasant More is expected to receive an MLA ticket from one of the mentioned constituencies after joining Shiv Sena. He is known for his work during the COVID-19 crisis and his public service efforts have been widely appreciated across Maharashtra.
- More was previously associated with Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi in the Pune Lok Sabha constituency but was defeated. Now, he is set to make a new start with the Uddhav Sena and is confident in their power and influence in the city and beyond.
- Vasant More’s decision to join Shiv Sena comes after his stint with Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) under Raj Thackeray’s leadership. He was known for his active participation in MNS movements and is considered a leader elected on his own merits.
