Former corporators from Chinchwad are making it clear that they mean business when it comes to the upcoming State Assembly election. In a recent meeting in Tathawade, they passed a resolution warning NCP (AP) President and DyCM Ajit Pawar that they will switch parties if the Chinchwad seat is not allotted to the NCP (AP) in the Maha Yuti seat-sharing agreement.
The former corporators, including Nana Kate and Vinod Nadhe, are not taking this issue lightly. They have even gone as far as meeting with NCP (SP) President Sharad Pawar to express their concerns.
The Chinchwad seat, currently held by the BJP, has caused tension among NCP (AP) members who are eager to contest in the upcoming election. The former corporators have threatened to boycott the BJP candidate’s campaign if their demands are not met.
Despite their warnings, the party has yet to take action. This has only fueled the determination of the former corporators to stand their ground and fight for what they believe is rightfully theirs.
Mayur Kalate, one of the former corporators, stated, “We are all united and will ask Ajit Pawar to take the Chinchwad seat for the party. Not a single NCP (AP) worker will work for the BJP. We will strongly support the candidate chosen from among us.”
With tensions rising and talks within the Maha Yuti alliance becoming more complicated, it remains to be seen how this situation will unfold in the coming days. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.
