Hey there, folks! Here’s some hot-off-the-press news from Wagholi – Pune Police has cracked down on a marijuana smuggling ring in a late-night operation on 26th February. Four individuals, including a minor, were nabbed in connection with the illegal activity.
The Detection Branch of Wagholi Police Station scored big during the raid, seizing 4.771 kg of ganja and other items with a total value of over Rs 1 lakh. The adult suspects have been identified as Nagesh Sunil Lashkare (20), Saurabh Namdevrao Tapase (22), and Rizwan Ismail Shaikh (39).
A case has been registered against all four individuals involved in the smuggling operation at Wagholi Police Station. The seized items, including the ganja and a motorcycle, are estimated to be worth Rs 1.04 lakh.
The arrests were made following a tip-off received by Police Constable Mote while patrolling the Gore Wasti area of Wagholi. Senior Police Inspector Pandit Rejitwad led the team in this successful operation under the guidance of senior Pune Police officials.
