According to the police, the young duo, both 19 years old, were ambushed by some not-so-friendly characters around 7:30 pm. These thugs demanded the password to one of the students’ phones, and things took a violent turn when the victims refused to comply. One of the students ended up with a knee injury after a physical altercation with the robbers. Luckily, the robbers beat a hasty retreat when the injured student called out for help. The brave student received medical attention at Aundh’s government hospital and is now on the road to recovery.
But wait, there’s more! Thanks to a tip-off, the police managed to track down the suspects behind this dastardly act. Sub-Inspector Pranil Chowgule and his team didn’t waste any time in nabbing the culprits. Inspector Mahesh Bolkotgi revealed that they also managed to seize a motorcycle and a sharp weapon that were used in the crime during the arrests.
