Hey there, folks! Today we’ve got some news coming out of Pune that might make you raise an eyebrow or two. It seems like there was quite the stir at Swargate Bus Station back in February, and the government is not taking it lightly.

Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik spilled the beans to the Legislative Council, revealing that an investigation was launched after a complaint was filed by a victim. And boy, did they find some juicy details. Turns out, there was some serious negligence when it came to ensuring passenger safety at the station.

In response, the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) decided to shake things up a bit. They transferred a whopping 22 security personnel stationed at Swargate and are bringing in fresh faces to beef up security measures.

But that’s not all, folks. Some heads are rolling too. Senior Depot Manager Jayesh Patil, Junior Depot Manager Pallavi Patil, Assistant Transport Inspector Sunil Yele, and Assistant Transport Superintendent Mohini Dhage have all been suspended for their roles in the negligence.

Transport Minister Sarnaik made it crystal clear that any future slip-ups when it comes to female passenger safety will not be tolerated. So, you better believe that heads will roll if anyone drops the ball again.

Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story, folks. And remember, safety first!
