It’s been a long time coming, but the Pune Police have finally caught up with a fugitive who had been on the run for seven years. Sunil Laxman Pawar, a resident of Gokhale Nagar, was arrested in Thane District for a murder he committed back in 2017.

According to reports, Pawar had been evading the police by constantly changing his location and living under different identities. But thanks to the hard work of the Anti-Dacoity Cell and Vehicle Theft Unit I, he was finally tracked down in Kashigaon.

Constables Balu Gaikwad and Mahesh Patil received a tip-off about Pawar’s whereabouts and wasted no time in apprehending him. Despite his attempts to escape, the officers managed to capture him and bring him back to Pune.

Pawar has since confessed to the murder and revealed that he had been living in various places, including Ranjangaon and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, under false names. He is now in custody at Chaturshringi Police Station, where he will face charges for his crimes.

It just goes to show that no matter how long someone tries to run from the law, justice will eventually catch up with them. Kudos to the Pune Police for their dedication and hard work in bringing this fugitive to justice.
