1. Residents in the area are facing a water crisis as the well supplied by Khadakwasla is not meeting their needs. Many are resorting to private tankers or personal wells for their water supply.
  2. The lack of chlorine in the water supply has caused concerns about possible contamination. In response, the RRT has instructed the PMC to maintain a minimum chlorine level of 0.2 ppm to prevent further outbreaks.
  3. The team will also be expanding testing within a 5 km radius of Nandedgaon, where the majority of cases of Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) have been reported.
  4. As of Tuesday, there have been three new suspected cases of GBS, bringing the total to 166, with 130 confirmed cases. Five suspected deaths have been recorded in Maharashtra.
  5. The cases are spread out across different regions, with 33 in the PMC area, 86 in newly merged villages, 19 in the Pimpri-Chinchwad region, 20 in Pune Rural, and eight in other districts.
  6. Currently, 61 patients are in intensive care, with 21 on ventilators, while 52 have been discharged from the hospital. The situation is being closely monitored by health officials.
