1) Got your own private RO plant? Better make it official with the corporation. Fill out an application, gather up the necessary docs, and hand it over to the water supply department’s executive engineer. No more flying under the radar for these operators!
2) Don’t forget to keep that RO plant in tip-top shape. Regular maintenance and servicing by the original manufacturers or authorized service providers is a must. And don’t think you can just say it’s done – you gotta show proof with a maintenance certificate every six months. Snap some geo-tagged pics while you’re at it!
3) Think your water is clean enough? Better get that certification from the manufacturer or service provider to back it up. Make sure it meets IS-10500 (2012) and WHO standards – no cutting corners here!
4) Time for some monthly water quality testing. The State Public Health Laboratory in Pune or the PCMC lab will be on the case. Reports on both the source water and purified water need to be handed over to the local ward office. No slacking on this one!
5) Using municipal water for your RO plant? Better have a legit connection and pay up those non-domestic water charges based on your meter readings. Skip out on this, and you could be facing a permanent disconnection. Ouch!
In the words of Pramod Ombase, Chief Engineer of the Water Supply Department at PCMC, “This decision by the municipal corporation will help ensure that citizens have access to clean and adequate drinking water. RO plant owners must strictly adhere to the specified conditions and obtain official permission before resuming operations.”
So, RO plant operators, you’ve been warned – follow the rules or face the consequences!
