  3. The PMC Health Department has confirmed a total of 101 GBS cases in the city, with 16 patients currently requiring ventilator support. The spread of the disease is a major cause for concern among health authorities.
  4. Following the sudden increase in GBS patients in Pune, the administration is implementing preventive measures to contain the spread of the disease. Despite these efforts, the number of cases continues to rise, posing a significant challenge for healthcare professionals.
  5. In a tragic incident, a 40-year-old GBS patient from Dhayari passed away while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Solapur. This unfortunate incident serves as a stark reminder of the severity of the disease and the urgent need for effective intervention measures.
  6. The alarming spike in GBS cases has led to the detection of 28 new patients in a single day, with a majority of them falling in the age group of 50 to 80. Shockingly, 19 children have also been affected by the disease, emphasizing the need for swift action to prevent further spread.
