This facility, located in Shirwal near Pune, is a massive 1 lakh sq. ft. space dedicated to enhancing the production of advanced washing machines.
The company has invested a whopping ₹100 crore in this project, covering expenses for new machinery, tools, infrastructure, and backward integration processes. This significant investment is aimed at increasing production capacity and supporting the company’s growth goals.
With an annual production capacity of 3 lakh units, the facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to produce AI-enabled fully automatic front-load washing machines. This move is expected to double the current production of the automatic washing machine portfolio and propel the company towards achieving 2X growth in the washing machines segment.
Kamal Nandi, Business Head and Executive Vice President of Godrej Appliances, emphasized the importance of this investment in meeting the evolving needs of Indian consumers. He believes that this new AI-enabled product range will solidify the company’s position as one of the fastest-growing brands in the washing machine category.
