Salisbury Park was rocked by a shocking incident of theft on 21st December 2024, as thieves managed to steal a significant amount of gold, diamond, and silver jewellery from a residence in the area. The victim, Sheela Sushil Jain, a 57-year-old resident of Marble House, reported the theft to the Swargate Police Station, leading to the registration of a case against the culprits.

The stolen jewellery, amounting to 50 tolas in total, held sentimental value for Jain, with 22 tolas gifted by her parents during her marriage and 8 tolas given by her in-laws. The burglary took place while Jain’s husband was at work and the key to their flat was left outside in a shoe rack. Upon returning home, Jain and her daughter discovered the break-in and reported the incident to the police.

CCTV footage from Marble House captured the thief in action, causing fear and concern among residents of Salisbury Park. The brazen daylight theft has sparked calls for swift action to apprehend the burglars, especially in light of previous incidents in the area. Senior Police Inspector Yuvraj Nandre and Police Sub-Inspector Ravindra Kaspate are leading the investigation into the case, aiming to bring the perpetrators to justice.
