In a shocking incident in Pune’s Kondhwa Khurd area, social worker and Maharashtra Assembly Elections candidate Mohammad Juber Iqbal Memon was assaulted by a group of five individuals. The attackers, allegedly led by Builder Ramzan, accused Memon of causing financial losses to builders and demanded compensation before physically assaulting him.
Memon, who is known for his activism against illegal constructions and encroachments, filed a complaint at the Kondhwa Police Station. The police have registered a case against Builder Ramzan, Aamir Kazi, Abdul Shaikh, and two unidentified individuals under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
According to reports, Memon has been actively filing complaints against builders with the Pune Municipal Corporation, leading to some actions being taken by the PMC. However, on 7th November, he was attacked outside his shop in Badshah Nagar, Kondhwa, and hospitalized as a result of the assault.
