Hey there, Pune peeps! It seems like our city is not just famous for its delicious vada pav and vibrant culture but also for some not-so-friendly incidents happening around.
Just recently, a 24-year-old man fell victim to a robbery after being lured through a dating app near Hadapsar Railway Station. Yup, you heard it right! The poor guy lost his gold chain worth a whopping Rs 42,000 in this unfortunate incident.
According to reports, the man connected with someone on a friendship app and agreed to meet near the railway station on 23rd January. Little did he know, this would turn out to be a nightmare. When he reached Laxmi Lawns, he was attacked by a group of suspects who not only stole his precious gold chain but also threatened to harm him if he dared to report the crime.
The Mundhwa Police Station has taken up the case and registered it under robbery and assault charges. They are currently going through CCTV footage and statements from witnesses to track down the culprits.
So, folks, let this be a reminder to always stay cautious when meeting strangers online. Your safety should always come first, no matter how tempting the offer may seem. Stay safe out there, Pune!
