Residents of Kalyani Nagar in Pune are facing a serious issue with raw sewage water overflowing near Jogger’s Park, causing health hazards and inconveniences. Despite complaints filed by Team Swachh Kalyani Nagar (TSKN), authorities have yet to take proper action to address the problem.

The overflowing sewage water poses risks to public health, including gastrointestinal disorders, skin infections, allergies, and diseases like malaria and dengue fever. Stagnant pools of untreated wastewater attract mosquitoes and other pests, increasing the threat of infectious diseases. Contact with contaminated water can also harm soil, property structures, and groundwater quality.

Rachna Aggarwal, Chairperson of TSKN, called for immediate action to address the sanitation issues and restore a cleaner and healthier environment in Kalyani Nagar. Jaffar Iqbal, Secretary of TSKN, stressed the urgency of the situation and the need for intervention to protect residents from health risks and environmental damage.

Stay tuned for updates on this developing story as we await a statement from the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC).
