It seems like the recent rains in Pune have really shaken up the fruit and vegetable market! Prices have dropped significantly due to a decrease in demand, but there’s one item that seems to be flying off the shelves – groundnut pods, thanks to the Ashadhi Ekadashi celebrations.

Just yesterday, a whopping 90 truckloads of fruits and vegetables arrived at the Shree Chhatrapati Shivaji Market Yard from various states. From green chillies to Totapuri mangoes, cabbage to drumsticks, the market was flooded with fresh produce.

Market Yard trader Nikhil Bhujbal even reported additional imports of carrots from Indore and garlic from Madhya Pradesh. It seems like everyone is trying to get their hands on the best produce out there.

The vegetable section of the market saw a huge influx of leafy greens, leading to a drop in prices. Fenugreek, coriander, shepu, and spring onions all saw a decrease in prices, making it a great time to stock up on your favorite greens.

Despite the rain affecting the quality of some leafy vegetables, there’s still a steady demand for high-quality produce. It’s amazing how the weather can impact the market in such a big way!

Overall, it’s clear that the recent rains have had a major impact on the prices of fruits and vegetables in Pune. It just goes to show that Mother Nature plays a big role in our day-to-day lives, even when it comes to what we eat.
