Rental operators in Pune have introduced ‘Joy Rides’ for passengers, offering a quick Pune Darshan experience for prices ranging between ₹5,000 and ₹6,000 per person. These rides typically accommodate six passengers and depart from designated helipads near passenger locations. The route showcases landmarks such as Shaniwar Wada, Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Mandir, and Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Mandai, giving passengers a unique aerial view of the city.
In addition to joy rides, helicopters are also in high demand for pilgrimage and tourism purposes from Pune. Popular destinations like Tuljapur, Pandharpur, Shirdi, Bhimashankar, and Shegaon are being visited by helicopter, with fares ranging between ₹1,60,000 and ₹1,80,000 for an hour-long ride. Captain Nitin Welade of Thumby Aviation Pune mentioned that traveling by helicopter is a pleasant experience and many people prefer it for tourism purposes.
