The Agarwal family in Hinjawadi is back in the news, this time for a fraud case dating back to 2009. It seems that the patriarch of the family, Surendra Kumar Agarwal, was accused of constructing multiple buildings without the necessary permissions from society members. This revelation comes on the heels of a tragic incident where a minor, allegedly a member of the Agarwal family, caused the death of two young IT engineers while driving a Porsche under the influence.

The case against Surendra Kumar Agarwal involved allegations of misrepresentation of amenity and parking spaces at the Nancy Brahma Residency in Bavdhan. It is reported that 71 society residents were promised certain amenities and parking spaces when they bought flats in the society in 2007. However, it appears that Agarwal and his associates went ahead and constructed commercial offices and residential units without the society’s permission.

The residents of Nancy Brahma Residency felt betrayed and cheated, leading them to file a complaint with the Hinjawadi Police Station. The police have registered a fraud case against Surendra Kumar Agarwal, his brother Ram Kumar Agarwal, as well as other associates involved in the alleged misrepresentation of property.

This latest revelation sheds light on the Agarwal family’s history of legal troubles and raises questions about their business practices. It remains to be seen how this new development will impact the ongoing investigations into the tragic incident that claimed the lives of two young engineers.
