Hey there, Pune folks! Did you hear about the latest drama surrounding the illegal hoarding in the city? It seems like the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has once again turned a blind eye to the issue, allowing a massive iron structure weighing over a ton to be reinstalled at the same spot where a previous illegal hoarding was removed from the riverbed.
Despite the dangers posed by collapsing hoardings in Maharashtra, civic officials seem to be shrugging off the risks. And to make matters worse, even after receiving a complaint about a hoarding operator allegedly intimidating municipal employees, the police have yet to take any formal action.
Earlier this year, the PMC took down three illegal hoardings near Tilak Chowk, only to have another one pop up in the same location. This new structure was put up without the proper permissions and poses a direct threat to the nearby police station.
The hoarding operator reportedly forced municipal employees to leave the site, preventing them from taking any action. And although complaints have been filed, no concrete steps have been taken to address the issue.
It’s clear that the authorities are aware of the illegal hoarding problem, but their lack of action has left citizens scratching their heads. With safety concerns looming large, it’s high time the PMC and the police cracked down on these violations before it’s too late.
Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story!
