Hey there, folks in Pune! Looks like we’re in for a wet few days ahead. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for Pune and Satara districts starting from tomorrow, so don’t forget your umbrellas!

A low-pressure area is causing some trouble between North Maharashtra and North Kerala, bringing moist air from the Arabian Sea towards the coast. This means heavy rainfall is expected in areas like Sindhudurg, Ratnagiri, Raigad, and the Ghat regions of Kolhapur, Satara, and Pune districts. Mumbai, Thane, and Palghar are also on alert for some lighter showers.

According to retired meteorologist Manikrao Khule, the state is in for a good dose of monsoon rains. Coastal areas will see heavy rain, Vidarbha can expect some downpours, and Central Maharashtra and Khandesh will likely see lighter to moderate rainfall.

So, stay safe out there, Pune! And don’t forget to enjoy the rainy weather while it lasts.
