Hey Punekars! Get ready to grab your umbrellas and raincoats because the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a Yellow Alert for Pune today and tomorrow. This means heavy rain is on the way, so be prepared for some wet weather.

But don’t worry, the good news is that from 12th to 15th September, the rain is expected to ease up. There may be some mild showers during this time, but nothing too heavy is anticipated. It looks like we’ll finally get a break from the downpours that have been soaking us for the past few days.

Since 2nd September, Pune and Maharashtra as a whole have been experiencing a decrease in heavy rainfall. While some areas are still seeing showers, overall the amount of rain has been going down. The IMD hasn’t officially said that the monsoon is over yet, but it seems like we might be heading towards drier days ahead.

In addition to Pune, several other districts in Maharashtra have been issued alerts. Bhandara, Gondia, and Nagpur are under an Orange Alert, while a slew of other districts including Raigad, Nashik, Kolhapur, and more are under Yellow Alerts. So, stay safe and stay dry, Punekars!
