Hey Pune folks, looks like we’re in for a wet few days ahead! The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted heavy rainfall for the next three days in our city. And it seems like the rain has already started making its presence known, with showers hitting Pune in the past couple of days.

The State has also been experiencing a revival of rainfall, with heavy showers drenching various parts of Maharashtra. On Tuesday, the weather was mostly cloudy across the State, except for a few areas in Vidarbha. The IMD has predicted moderate to heavy rainfall for the coming days, so make sure to carry your umbrellas with you wherever you go.

Specifically, Pune and the surrounding districts are expected to receive heavy rains, along with other areas like Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur, Nashik, and more. The met office has issued a yellow alert for Vidarbha, Marathwada, Khandesh, central Maharashtra, and Konkan regions, so it’s best to be prepared for some intense downpours.

On Monday, some areas in Pune recorded significant rainfall, with Magarpatta receiving 38 mm, Hadapsar getting 21 mm, and Bhor seeing 15 mm of rain. Other areas like Talegaon Dhamdhere, Vagaon Sheri, and Shivajinagar also experienced showers, with varying amounts of rainfall.

So, keep those raincoats handy and stay safe, Pune! Looks like we’re in for a rainy week ahead.
