Hey there, folks! Time to grab your warmest sweaters because it looks like Pune is in for a chilly week ahead. According to the latest IMD forecast, temperatures took a nosedive this morning, with NDA hitting a bone-chilling 6.1°C and Shivajinagar not far behind at 7.8°C. Brrr!
Seems like just a couple of weeks ago, Pune was enjoying a relatively balmy 9.3 degrees Celsius. But then, Mother Nature decided to throw us a curveball. A low-pressure area over the Arabian Sea started flexing its muscles, disrupting the moisture flow and bringing in those icy winds from the North.
As for today, the IMD is predicting a partly cloudy sky with a touch of haze, keeping temperatures between 9°C and 28°C. So, expect a cool and hazy day overall.
Looking ahead, here’s what the weather has in store for us:
– Tuesday: Partly cloudy with haze; temps ranging from 10°C to 29°C.
– Wednesday: More haze, more clouds; temperatures creeping up to 12°C – 29°C.
– Thursday & Friday: Clear skies on the horizon, with temperatures going up to 13°C – 30°C.
– Saturday: Partly cloudy skies, with a low of 14°C and a high of 30°C.
Meanwhile, our friends in Mumbai are also feeling the chill. Colaba saw temperatures drop to 19.8°C, while Santacruz shivered at 14.0°C.
In Pune district, Lavale enjoyed the warmest morning at 16.0°C, while poor NDA had to endure the coldest start at 6.1°C. Hang in there, NDA!
But fear not, Punekars! The IMD promises a slight warm-up in the days to come, so hold on tight to those blankets. Stay cozy, stay safe, and keep an eye out for any updates from the IMD. Until next time!
