Hey there, folks! Big news coming out of Yerwada today as the Pune Police have been given the green light to interrogate 10 individuals in connection with the Kalyaninagar Porsche accident case. These suspects, currently behind bars at Yerwada Central Jail, are accused of messing with the blood samples of the underage driver involved in the crash and getting rid of crucial evidence.
The request for joint questioning was approved by Special Judge U. M. Mudholkar after a plea from Crime Branch ACP Ganesh Ingle on Wednesday. The case revolves around an incident where the minor son of builder Vishal Agarwal was taken into custody initially. Among the accused are Vishal Surendrakumar Agarwal, his wife Shivani Agarwal, Dr. Ajay Taware from Sassoon Hospital’s forensic department, and Dr. Srihari Halnor, the Casualty Medical Officer at the Emergency Department. Also implicated are peon Atul Ghatakamble, Ashpak Makandar, Amar Gaikwad, Aditya Avinash Sood, Ashish Satish Mittal, and Arun Kumar Singh, who is said to have tampered with the blood samples.
Nine of the suspects have already had chargesheets filed against them, with proceedings still ongoing for Arun Kumar Singh. It’s reported that Singh instructed Ashish Mittal to meddle with the samples. Once all the paperwork is in, a joint trial is on the horizon.
Investigators are looking into allegations that Dr. Taware, Dr. Halnor, and peon Ghatakamble were paid off to alter the blood samples and cover their tracks. There’s also a probe into whether the accused used bribes or other incentives to get their way.
Dr. Ajay Taware has requested to be excused from the case, while Ashish Mittal is seeking court permission to receive medical care at a private hospital.
Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story, folks!
